Happy Birthday Chase!

On Monday Chase turned 38.  It was kind of an anti climatic day since we had just gotten home from the lease but we did go to lunch and back to his parents house for his traditional rum cake.

Homemade cards are the best.  Glad the girls enjoy the lease so much.

Deer Lease

We just spent the long Labor Day weekend at the deer lease and luckily it wasn't as hot as I was anticipating.  It was a work weekend to get things ready for hunting season with some fun in between.

Princess and the tree frog!  We found this cute little guy and had a blast playing with him.  I've never seen a tree grog outside of the zoo.  His sticky feet let him crawl right up the door.

Happy 97!

Granny just celebrated her 97th birthday so we all went down to celebrate.

Thunder Kittens

Emma wanted to play soccer this fall and they've had a couple games so far.  Her team isn't the best but after playing with this group of girls last fall she said she didn't want to play against them since they were her friends so she decided to play with them again.  They changed the name from the Kicks to the Thunder Kittens, which she wasn't thrilled with because she doesn't think it's tough enough, but she looks pretty cute and has been playing her heart out.  I love to watch her hustle down the field in"turbo mode."  This girl is all muscle.  So far she's scored the only goals for her team.

Top Cat and Rock Star

Super proud of the girls for being chosen so quickly by their teachers as the student of the week.  Emma was the very first in her class and Madison was the second to be chosen.  Glad to have those posters out of the way before sports and weekends get crazy!  lol

We are month in now and school is going great.  Emma is in Mrs. Dowdey's 1st grade class and Madison is in Ms. Hale's 4th grade class.
