Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Yesterday Chase called and said he was able to get us last minute tickets to TSO for their "Lost Christmas Eve" show.  And at the very, very last minute he was able to get an additional ticket so Madison could go too.  We have been going non stop every.single.day., so at first Madison wasn't thrilled to be going to a concert but once we got there she was hooked.  This is their last show ever of "The Lost Christmas Eve" so I was so happy to see it.  These guys are amazing and it's not your mama's orchestra.  It's more like a rock concert with electric guitars, ridiculous vocals, pyrotechnics, hydraulic lifts, unbelievable video projection, not to mention an incredible laser light show.  I think it is a requirement of all band members to have 80s style long hair.  Madison kept telling me to take a video so she could watch clips of it later.  It is without a doubt the best concert I have ever seen.

We practically had to drag her out at 10:30 but it was almost over and we wanted to beat the rush.  She would hardly take a bathroom break so as not to miss anything!  What a fun and memorable night with our big girl!

Family Dinner

Every year we always get together for a family dinner with my mom's friends Julie and Steve and their son Blake right after Christmas.  We alternate who's house to go to and since our addition of kiddos whenever it's mom's turn we have been hosting here so the girls have their toys and we can put them to bed when needed.  So last night was our night.

Emma helped me get the house ready and vacuumed with her new Minnie Mouse vac.  If only I could look so cute in no pants and hello kitty slippers!  So many things about this just make me laugh.  I can usually get pants on Emma first thing in the morning when we get dressed for the day but after her first diaper change she usually declares, "no pants, no pants!" so we run around the house in our diaper a lot!  She definitely has a chip in her mouth as well.  If only that vacuum really had some suction to pick up her crumbs.  I should also note that Madison swiffered the whole living room, she loves to swiffer!

I somehow didn't get a picture with any of our house guests but they did get one with all of us.  Happy almost 2014 everyone! 

The Train Man

On Saturday we took the kids to see "the train man."  There is a house in Richardson that has really awesome decorations and every year they do free train rides all December long.  The train man is 81, I think, and this is his last year to do the train.  I'm sad we haven't done it before now because it was really neat and the kids loved it but I'm glad we got to experience it once.  The train started out a lot smaller and it was such a success with the neighbors and surrounding areas that they kept expanding to accommodate more people per ride.  It is a round track in his backyard that is motorized and you go around and around looking at all his lights and decor.  The line wasn't too long so we got to ride it twice.

Lula

On Friday we were so, so, so very excited to play with Lula and exchange gifts yet again.  The girls ran constant circles around my aunts house and Emma kept up just a couple steps behind.  I think we were all tired from watching them run for hours.  Wish they lived closer.  

Christmas with the Culps

On the 26th we celebrated with the Culp side for round 3 of Christmas.  It was another great day full of family, food, and MORE presents!  Gram and Grandad have a gum ball machine at their house and Madison thinks it's super fun to chew gum so she has a nice blue wad in her mouth for all these pictures, superb.

Bop It!

Emma got some super cute light up Sketchers.  Hopefully she gets used to walking in them because since she's short they go up pretty high on her leg and she walks like she's wearing ski boots.  You can certainly see her coming!  If nothing else, maybe they will slow her down a notch.

And here's Emma's favorite thing.  Gram and Grandad bought her a MobiGo.  She's constantly asking to play games on my phone and then she ends up on Facebook or making calls so she finally has an electronic device of her own where she can't get into trouble.

Our little pop star.  Emma now has her very own Sofia the First microphone.  We have been constantly serenaded ever since.  Watch out gram and grandad, this one might end up back at your house!

Christmas with Mimi and Pa

After playing with all our Santa gifts it was time to get dressed up and head to Mimi and Pa's for Christmas brunch and more presents!
