Dance Pictures

Last Saturday Madison had dance pictures at Red Door so we did full hair and makeup to go along with her awesome fairy costume.  I think this one is my favorite one yet, so colorful and sassy... just like Madison!  She will wear the tutu and wings for her ballet performance and then take them off for tap.  Her sequin top has red biker shorts attached underneath.

Sock Hop

Friday night was the Sock Hop at Madison's school.  It was supposed to be in February but was cancelled due to all the bad weather.  We had fun dressing up in our 50's attire and the kids had a blast playing and dancing in the gym.

Elsa Goes To The Dentist

Last week the girls had their 6 month dental checkups and Emma had been dressed as Elsa most of the day and wanted to wear her costume.  I told her if it would help her be brave and not cry then she could wear it.  She did great and even did x-rays with no tears!  I think we'll be going as Elsa for the next few years.

Magnolia

Last Saturday mom and I took a little day trip to Waco to visit Magnolia Market, the store owned by Joanna Gaines.  We love the show Fixer Upper and thought it would be fun to check out some of her goods.  The store was pretty small and packed with out of towners like ourselves but she is currently renovating some silos that will open this summer so she will gain a lot more space.  At check out there was a list of some of Joanna's favorite places so we visited some of those shops and did a little research before we left so we had a list of our own.  It was a fun day and we bought some fun treasures!

I bought a garden gate to hang on the wall out front at Junque in the Trunk, which has been on the show before.  We recognized the owner from an episode and she said her business has tripled since the start of the show and that we wouldn't believe the revenue that Chip and Joanna have brought the city of Waco. 

 Before leaving we stopped at the coffee shop Common Grounds which is on the Baylor campus.  Chip and Joanna did a house for the owners of the shop.

Madison's New Smile

Last Monday Madison lost one of her upper front teeth!  It had literally been hanging for a week and she finally let Chase pull it out.  We worked, and worked, and worked on that tooth!  Now her smile is so different and after a week I think I am finally used to it.

Happy Easter!

We woke up to a very rainy and yucky Easter morning.  Luckily the Easter bunny knows just what to do at times like this and hid eggs around the house.  We told the girls it was just like Christmas and they couldn't get up like usual so they had to yell in the monitor when they were awake.  Chase brought them to our room and then we counted to 3!

Our new sofas arrived just before Easter and we love them!

 

After going through all our Easter goodies it was time to get dolled up for church.  We were with my parents this year so after mass we headed to their house for lunch and another indoor egg hunt.  We have Easter candy coming out our ears!
