Another Tooth Down
Emma lost her other top front tooth so that marks her fourth tooth gone. As soon as we got on the road in CO she bumped it with a water bottle so we had to pull over at a gas station. I jacked a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom since it was bleeding so I figured she would pull it on vacay but she waited until we got home.
Home Day
Saturday was home day so after packing up and checking out at 10 we went for our annual ice skating adventure on Keystone Lake. This year we heard some cracks here and there while skating which made me a little uneasy but when we got there a zamboni was grooming the ice so I figured we were fine.
Keystone Days 3 and 4
I love that our room is steps from the ski lift so we can eat breakfast and lunch in our room or just take a break if needed. Day 2 and 3 on the mountain were fantastic. I also love that we take the girls out of school and go at an off peak time because we had the mountain almost to ourselves.
My skis and boots matched my outfit! That's never happened before.
We went for a night ski run and that was fun but 1 run was all we needed. It's a little cooler at night! Then it was time for shopping and pizza at Pizza on the Run.
Friday morning we woke up to a fresh blanket of snow so the mountain was super smooth, like skiing on butter. Traffic on the mountain picked up a little since it was leading into the weekend but still not bad at all.
Break time! Both the girls boots seemed to be leaking a bit so we stopped to get foot warmers and hand warmers. Emma's gloves broke so I bought her a new pair on the mountain.
The walk back to the room is always the hardest. Walking in ski boots is no joke!
There's nothing hotter than a woolly man in long underwear holding a PBR. lol
For dinner Friday night we went to Kickapoo Tavern. Chase and I split the wings and buffalo chicken tater tots and both were amazing! I want to go back just to have more wings.
There's nothing better than warm toes, apple pie, and Josh Gates! Destination Truth and Expedition Unknown are our favorite shows right now.
