Well Miss Emma, it's been 8 months since you joined our family and I have been a crazy woman every since, ha! You are so cute and so cuddly and I love you to pieces but you wear me out! It wouldn't be so bad if you could just learn to be content jumping in your jumperoo or playing on the floor with your toys every now and again but you won't let me out of your sight. I must either be holding you, sitting next to you while you play, or be giving you my undivided attention at ALL TIMES. Luckily you and your sister are best buds so she can usually turn your frown upside down if I have to run to the bathroom, switch out a load of laundry, or attempt to load the dishwasher. Mimi keeps saying you will grow out of this stage but I'm not so sure....Here's some things you've been up to this month:
- you are crawling! you get better each day and still army crawl a lot but if there's something you want you will get there in a flash
- can push yourself into the sitting position after being on your tummy or crawling
- still no teeth but you gnaw on everything
- you are still quite the spitter so no one is safe when holding you
- I'm still nursing but not as much as I used to, I think those days are numbered. I find that you seem to spit up more after having breast milk vs. formula
- over the last few days you have started pulling up on everything so between that and crawling life just got a little more hectic. I see lots of bumps and bruises in our future. I think we need to buy you a helmet.
- your night time sleeping schedule is all over the place. You go to bed between 8-8:30 and some nights you sleep through, some nights you are up at 2 to eat, other nights it's 3 or 4. I have been under the weather since Mother's Day and the first few days when I was really sick you got up and wanted to party from 3-5, not a fan! Luckily daddy helped out.
- you like to wave and squeal
- love to have your back scratched
- whenever I sing to you you have started cooing back and "singing" with me
- tried puffs this month
- 6-9 clothes fit you best but some of your 3-6 month pajamas still fit you nicely
I love how close you and Madison are and I hope it stays that way! Madison loves to read to you...
and teach you to crawl....
and play outside...
and push you in your swing, weeeeee!
Peek a Boo!
I see this pouty face a lot! Mom, where are you going?
You love to splash in the tub
Mom, don't leave me in here!
Look who's pulling up
Really, you are going to put me in here again?
Daddy dropped the mattress tonight since you figured out how to pull up and stand in your bed
Madison's toys are now fair game and you go for them every chance you get, Tangled got a good chewing on
You love to chew on your toes but only during meal times so it makes a messy situation even messier!
Playing with Pa. You LOVE to be outside and would stay out all day if you could
Happy 8 months Emma!
