Shots

Madison went for her 2 month check up yesterday and did very well. She weighed in at 10 lbs 2 oz and was 22 1/4 inches long, both are in the 30th percentile for her age. She also got two shots, one in each leg, but she only cried for a minute and then wubba nub made it all better. Check out her pink camo bandaid. She slept most of the afternoon so I took advantage and had a little snooze myself. Gotta get it when I can! We go back again at 4 months.

Today I took Arnie to the vet and he too got a shot and weighed in at 30 lbs. Arnie hates going to the vet as I'm sure most dogs do and shakes like a leaf. He jumped up in my lap and they had to pry him off of me to go weigh him. Now both my babies are up to date on their shots.

Smiles

I haven't been the best at updating my blog but as all you moms know life with a newborn can be a bit of a challenge. Even the smallest tasks such as brushing your teeth and going to the bathroom are not always easy. I have learned how to do just about everything with one hand and Madison in the other. She still likes to be held all the time and, call me a sucker, but I'm still sleeping on the couch with her in my arm. Mostly because she has a touch of acid reflux so the doctor said to hold her upright for an hour after she eats before laying her down, which is hard to do at night. Thank goodness she loves her bouncy seat so she has been sleeping in that some as well. For Mother's Day she gave me a much needed massage which I can't wait to redeem!

Today Madison is 8 weeks old and she has changed so much since we brought her home. She is still pretty tiny and last week she weighed 8 lbs 8 oz but is really starting to fill out and has cute little pudgy cheeks. We go for her 2 month check up next week so we'll have to get some shots, no fun! She makes the funniest noises and Chase and I call her squeaker because she is always making some sort of sound.

She has been smiling for weeks but now she is really looking and smiling at us and not just because she has gas. =) It's so cute and it took us a few tries to catch it on camera but we finally got it.

The last two pictures are hilarious, we are ready for summer so I put her in her leopard bikini to see if it fits, Wild Thing! I have never seen one this small and she still has some growing room!
