All the meat and fish dishes at the resort were outstanding. Sometimes the food at an all inclusive is just ok but I really enjoyed all my meals.
Michael Jackson was our first real show in the theatre and the kids really liked him but they did ask if he was a boy or a girl and why he grabbed himself so much. lol
I miss this glass case soooo much. Open 24 hours and had the most delicious pastries and frappuccinos. I liked the lemon donut best and the apple cinnamon things. We definitely got our money's worth of food.
I was surprised at the lack of people! We never had to fight over beach chairs in the mornings and the restaurants were never crowded. I think we just got lucky and I'm certainly not complaining.
Madison had eagle eyes when snorkeling and we started letting her go first so she could point everything out for us. She noticed so many things that we would have complete missed because they were so camouflaged. We saw tons of sting rays, lion fish, "long fish", puffer fish, sea spiders, a gigantic eel that totally freaked her out, invisible jelly fish that you could only see when the sun hit their tentacles just right, a big soft shell crab, and all the usual pretty tropical fish. I feel like every day we saw a fun new thing. Madison is by far the best guide I've ever had. And trying to communicate through snorkels is like playing a game of "speak out" with that plastic thing in your mouth!
Rum in the morning makes you a pirate (not an alcoholic) . lol All inclusive is so worth it for us because these girls can drink their weight in fruity drinks. And so can I. Emma's favorite phrase was, "Mom, can I have a pina?"
Emma was attached to Ashley. I may have to pack her in Ashley's suitcase when she moves to Austin!
It was a little drizzly on the way to dinner one night so Jill and I used my wrap as a cover. Hibachi was one section over but it was a very direct walk so easy to find.

One our final morning we decided to book a small snorkel trip to see if we could see any other cool stuff. The water was crystal clear and it was a great hour and a half. We saw a pair of squid, the guide cracked open a sea urchin and let the girls use it to feed fish, and we saw some other cool fish but no sting rays, turtles, or sharks like we were hoping for.
