Bluebonnets

It wouldn't be spring time in Texas without our annual photo shoot in the bluebonnets!  We headed to our favorite spot the day before Easter and snapped away.  The flowers haven't been as big and plentiful the last couple years but we still get what we need.  And there are less bees and "itchys."  As usual we took a ton so here you go...

Here's a "ring around the rosie" picture from last year.  What a difference a year makes!

And just for fun, here's one from Emma's first session.  Whoa!  What happened to these little cuties?

For Madison's birthday, one of her friends gave her a live butterfly garden.  We sent off to receive our live caterpillars via mail and watched them eat and grow until they were ready to form cocoons and ultimately turn into butterflies.  It was so cool!  Once they all hatched they were ready to be released into the wild so we took them with us into the bluebonnets and let them go.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a hippity hoppity Easter!  We had a great day and luckily the rain held off so the Easter bunny hid eggs outside this year.  The girls had fun emptying their Easter baskets and then running around outside filling them back up again.

Seat Pet!  Madison finally weighs enough for us to convert her 5 point harness car seat to a booster so this "pet" fits over the seat belt strap.  It's one of those As Seen On TV products and once we saw the commercial around Christmas she had to have it.

Madison got a new backpack for kindergarten and Emma got a lunch box for pre-school next year

Daddy was in charge of breakfast while I got ready.  =)  Not that she wouldn't have looked like this if I was in charge.  Nutella and peanut butter on toast is most definitely the best thing ever.

My favorite Easter chicks!

After church we spent the day at Gram and Grandad's house.  Grandad had special "rotten" eggs that we had fun with out front.  Everyone had confetti in their hair for the rest of the afternoon.  =)

One more egg hunt before our yummy lunch.  Happy Easter!
