Emma Loses a Tooth!

Emma lost her very first tooth on Super Bowl Sunday, at Grammy's house because that's where we have to lose all our teeth!  One morning before school she told me that it hurt to bite when eating breakfast and when I checked her tooth is was super wiggly!  We had no idea!  After a couple nights of working on it she was able to get it out herself!

I'm trying to enjoy my last few months of having this one home with me a couple days a week before kindergarten starts.  We decided to give Country Club Cafe a try in Wylie for their famous cinnamon pancakes and they did not disappoint.  Sooooo yummy!

Ft. Worth Stock Show

We always enjoy the Ft. Worth Stock Show.  It's fun to see Jessie and the fam with their livestock and then make a run through the midway to ride some rides.

When we were at the furthest point on the midway from shelter and down pour started and we were absolutely drenched by the time we found cover!  The girls thought is was fun but I could have down without!

We met Finley, Maisy, and Tori at the new Altitude trampoline park and had a great time and then went for lunch.  What a bunch of cuties!

Madison hung out with Brooklynn one day while the littles were in dance and we stayed over afterwords for a bit.  Always fun with this group!

Madison delivered cookies to Tori's house and then wanted to walk down her street so we recruited Tori to help pull the wagon.  The littles enjoyed being honorary Girl Scouts.  It was pajama day at school so that's why they are in their pj's.  ha!

These S'mores cookies are new this year and have caused quite the ruckus, ha!  I went back to the warehouse to get more after our initial pick up and got there just in time because they sold out!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

We celebrated Grammy's 70th birthday at Fernando's Mexican food restaurant in the new City Line.  We had our own private room so it worked out great!  I think Emma only went to the bathroom 5 times, ha!

Cookie Season

It's that time again!  It's Girl Scout cookie season and I volunteered to be the cookie mom again.  Pick up always makes me nervous but we got our initial order all loaded and I've been to the warehouse about 5 more times since!  Madison loves selling cookies and wasted no time hitting the streets.  After we sorted all the cookies Chase took her down our street.  Go Madison Go!

Happy New Year!!!

Since we are already half way through February I guess it's time to sit down and start the blog for 2017!  Clearly we have been busy and blogging has not been a priority.  I've got lots to catch up on so here it goes:
We kicked off 2017 by having the Barron's over for New Year's Eve.  Chase cooked prime rib and the girls had fun playing upstairs and singing karaoke.  It was a laid back night with great friends.
Earlier in the day we shot our bow and arrow and hit up the "hidden pond" and did a little fishing since it was so beautiful outside!

On New Year's Day we celebrated Granddaddy's 97th birthday with cake at mom's house.

I don't even remember this day now but apparently we got a little snow on a day in January!

Finley turned 5 and had a fun pottery painting birthday party.  We love us some Finley and Brooklynn!

Our January (and February) have been super mild.  Every year it keeps getting warmer!  Emma and I enjoyed a train ride at Firewheel.  She still loves the train!

Emma and Chase had their last Dad's Derby at North Star.

College Day at school!

Madison's Girl Scout troop has been doing some fun stuff as Brownies and they kicked off the year with the dance badge.
