A Good Thing About Being Small...

...is that you can almost completely fit under the sofa when you drop an earring back.

Let's Go To The Hop...

Friday was the annual Sock Hop and silent auction for Boggess so the kids got to wear their 50's attire to school.

Then it was time for the whole family to dress up!  I bought mine and Madison's poodle skirts at the last possible minute from Party City.  They just happened to have a couple left.

Madison's sweet friend, Elle, gave us this skirt and it was perfect for Emma!

The fabulous 4!  Adam, Madison, Gina, and Hunter.  These cuties were all in the same kindergarten class and became the best of friends!

And this little munchkin, oh my!  She had the best time and loved running around with all the big kids.  Emma, you are so darn cute and everyone just wants to squeeze you and take you home with them!

This is Garrett, one of Madison's other love interests!

Do the stanky leg...The Whip and Nae Nae will never get old for these kiddos.

Mommy's Little Helper

Emma loves to help out in the kitchen so we try to let her help when she can.  Today we are making delicious Chimichurri shrimp.  It's so good but it takes a while to make so I'll take all the help I can get!

My sweet "coffee mate"

Arnie is 10!

Hard to believe it but Arnie turned 10 this month!  He's a little grey in the face but is still as playful as ever.  Love those Yoda ears.

Back to the Booth

We did one more booth sale but this one wasn't quite as good as our first.  Note to self, don't do a Saturday morning at Kroger next year.

And it wouldn't be Saturday without a birthday party!  The girls had so much fun celebrating Will, Emily, and Caroline.  Lisa outdid herself with these cute super hero capes and masks as party favors.

And to top off the day we met some friends at Katy Trail Ice House and it was so much fun.  Mama cleans up pretty good, ha.  Thank you Younique!

Here Kitty, Kitty...

Madison (and Emma but mostly Madison) is obsessed with cats!  Chase is not a cat person so I'm pretty sure we'll never have one but M says all the time that she can't wait until she has her own house so she can have a cat!  I saw on Facebook that Dana, who we adopted Arnie from, had some teenie tiny kittens so I messaged her to see if we could come see them.  They were only 3 weeks old and so stinking cute!  I could have easily put one in my purse.  The girls loved it.  They did, however, have pretty sharp, needle like claws, so I don't think they were expecting that.

But first Emma and I took Arnie to the vet.  He HATES going and tries desperately to hide.  This boy is 10!

I mean, look at these cuties!!!

My sweet snuggle bug!  Emma is still my little shadow and she easily falls asleep between 5:30 and 6 while on the sofa watching TV.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!!!  We didn't do a whole lot but we did bake a 5 layer heart cake so that was fun.

Too bad I gave up desserts for Lent.  It doesn't get much better than strawberry cake with strawberry marshmallow icing!  Speaking of Lent, Madison has been going to a religion class on Mondays after school in preparation for 1st Communion.  This year she decided all on her own that she was going to give up the bunny that she has slept with every night since she was a baby.  That is a big deal!  Very proud of her.  She also made me this note and put it on the fridge reminding me that I gave up dessert in case I forget.  I think I'll leave this up the rest of the year!

Madison Rides A Bike!!!

On President's Day Madison and Chase were both home but Emma had school so we decided to take Madison's training wheels off her bike and give it a go.  First we went to the soccer fields in our neighborhood so she could practice on grass.  She did awesome and once she figured out the balance and that the faster she pedaled the easier it was, she took off!  After she felt confident about riding on grass we took her to the middle school where there is a massive parking lot and she flew!  It's much easier riding on a smooth surface than a bumpy field.

Chase definitely got his running workout in.  Way to go Madison and way to go daddy!

I found this in her school folder and thought it was so cute!  1. says knee pads and gloves
