Yesterday we went to the fair with Culp side of the family and it was the perfect day to be there! The morning was actually cloudy and chilly, Hello Fall, but the afternoon was sunny and warm. It was opening weekend and I must say it was not very crowded which was awesome. This was Madison's first trip to the fair and she was quite the trooper. We tried the fried frito pie which was pretty tasty but other than that didn't try any of the other crazy fried foods. Here's some pictures of Madison's first fair adventure....
Checking out this GIANT longhorn. Madison loved walking through the livestock building

"Little Hands on the Farm"

These little cars were Madison's first ride at the fair

Hi Dad! I thought this was going to be a smooth simple ride where the cars just go around in a circle but I was wrong.....

These particular cars did go in circle but they whip you around the corner pretty fast! Brett was in the car in front of us and when I saw him going flying around the corner I thought, "Uh Oh!" Madison did surprisingly well and didn't cry but from the look on my face you can see I wasn't expecting that! Note to self, watch more closely before you put your child on a ride.

Daddy took her on a much less scary train ride

Time for a few games. The little kids went fishing so they could all win a prize.

Madison picked this little dog and held on to it the whole time we were at the fair

Playing the "put your quarter on a team game." I really don't know why we play this game over and over since the chances of winning are slim to none

Family shot in front of Big Tex

Look Gram that huge guy is talking!

The petting zoo was a big hit with my child and she had no fear as you can see her trying to stick her hand directly in the goat's mouth! Madison would pick up one little granule and try and feed it to the goat, this is what she does to Arnie.

petting the big cow, pretty sure her thumb is up the cow's nose in this picture

The camel was quite friendly and came right over for us to feed

Chase's radio station had a booth in the car building so we stopped by to chat and let Madison get out of her stroller to run around for a bit

All the excitement finally caught up to Madison about 3:30 which is way past nap time!

Ashley, Brett and Chris on the log ride before heading home

A little souvenir from the fair-cotton candy!
