Happy New Year!

Well another year has come and gone! Unfortunately I've spent the last few days of 2010 curled up in bed battling the stomach bug and it's not been fun. I'm finally feeling human again but at the risk of infecting friends with any lingering germs we opted to stay home tonight and just chill. After three nights on the couch and a clean set of sheets Chase has decided it might be ok to sleep in the same room again.
Tuesday night Chase was in charge so I could seclude myself and he took this picture. Clearly they were having fun.
Why wear 1 barrette when you can wear 4?

My mom graciously came to pick up Madison early Wednesday morning to keep her away from the germs and we decided it was best to let her have her first slumber party at Mimi and Pa's. They had a lot of fun and we almost didn't get her back last night. =)

Here's to a happy and healthy 2011. Gotta love camera timers!

Cheers!

Culp Family Christmas

After all the excitement of Santa gifts we got ourselves together, loaded up, and went to Chase's parents house for Christmas with the Culp crew. I always laugh when I walk through the door at the amount of gifts extending into the living room. There are so many of us and for the past few years we've been growing by +1 every year so that just means more presents under the tree!

Time to open!

Let the craziness begin....

A piano of my very own, fun!

Madison got her very own shopping cart complete with coup car for her babies

and she loves her remote control Thomas the Train

Look Mom I'm a movie star!

After a long exciting day it was homeward bound and time for Chase to get busy putting her new additions together. Madison loves to sing into her microphone and play her piano

And our refrigerator now has all these fun new gadgets.

Christmas 2010

Ho Ho Ho, hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We had quite a delightful morning watching Madison take in all the fun new toys Santa brought for her. He didn't wrap anything this year so I think she might have been a little overwhelmed at first but she quickly ran over to her stash and started checking everything out. Here's some pictures of our Christmas morning...

Whoa, I must have been a very good girl this year!

Madison immediately noticed her new Power Wheels and took it for a test drive

She bounced her baby in her new Graco play set

and then took her for a spin in her new stroller

Let's see what's in my stocking....

She pulled out this light up toy and said, "Cool!" I started cracking up because I've never heard her say this before.

This hula hoop was a big hit. I know what you're thinking, a hula hoop for a 21 month old? She always carries the hula hoops around in her gym dandies class so I knew she would like it and this one is extra special because it lights up and makes noise.

She took her new baby's temperature

and daddy demonstrated how to use her new cookie monster stethoscope

This doodler is probably one of her favorite things. Madison LOVES coloring right now and she likes that she can erase it and start over.

Believe it or not Brown Bear Brown Bear is not a book we had in our collection so Santa left it in her stocking and this is probably her other favorite gift. I think we've read this book about 597 times since Christmas, she loves it! Good job Santa.

Arnie got a couple new toys in his stocking too

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we went over to my parents house to celebrate with them and my brother. We watched Madison open up most of her presents, had a yummy breakfast, and let her finish up her pile. Then it was time for the big kids to tackle their gifts and my personal favorite, stockings! It was a fun filled morning with lots of smiles and laughs. Madison has definitely enjoyed this holiday season to the max!

Madison immediately noticed her new baby pram as soon as she walked in the door so she had to take it for a test drive, too cute!

She had to get every last piece of wrapping paper off the boxes and she wanted to do it all by herself

These bath flutes were a big hit!

Where's Madison?

There she is!

Reading her new Dora book with Pa

After a fun afternoon it was off to church and Chinese food with Chase's family. One of the usher's at the service had a striking resemblance to Santa and Madison noticed him right away. Whenever he walked by she would shout out "Santa, Santa, Hi Santa!" We tried to muffle our laughs so as not to make a scene but I'm not sure how good a job we did. After church it was raining so Chase went to get the car and "Santa" came over to talk to Madison since he noticed she was so desperate to see him. Several other kids were calling him Santa on the way out as well so he was quite a hit.
After dinner we had to get home to leave cookies and milk for jolly Old St. Nick. Madison decided she better try a bite to make sure they tasted ok, I told her I didn't think Santa would mind. =)

Christmas with the Great Grands

A couple days before Christmas we went over to my grandparents house so they could give Madison and Lula their present. This year has been fun because Madison understands the concept of opening up her gifts and thinks it's lots of fun, just like her mama, ha! Here's a few pics of the day.

More tea please

As soon as Granddaddy handed Madison her bag the tissue started flying

then she reached in...

and pulled out baby Snow White!

Madison and Lula had fun pushing their new babies up and down the hall
