Madison's First Soccer Game

On Saturday Madison had her very first soccer game.  We signed up through the Richardson Soccer Association and they assigned us to a team of 5 boys and 3 girls (Madison being one of them).  I was a little worried about the ratio at first but one of the little boys goes to Madison's school so at least she knows him.  She has enjoyed practice the last couple weeks and although I'm not sure soccer is her sport at least she's having fun.  She does not have an aggressive bone in her body but likes to run with the pack and she's very graceful about it.

Madison was very excited that Buffy, her class mascot, could come watch her first soccer game.

She looks pretty cute in her hot pink and black soccer shoes

Here's her mean soccer face, I know you're scared right?

She was very proud of herself that she actually made contact and kicked the ball a couple times

Pa came to watch.  Mimi stayed behind so Emma could get a good nap in before her birthday party.

Way to go Madison, we're proud of you!

On another note, here's how I woke up on Saturday.  Big birthday hugs from my girls!

Happy Birthday to Me!

On Saturday I turned 33, woo hoo.  Madison had her very first soccer game and Emma had her 2nd birthday party so we celebrated at my parents house on Friday since Saturday was so busy.  Friday at lunch I picked up Chase from work and we headed to Perry's for pork chop Friday.  Holy Moly it was delicious and the biggest pork chop I have ever seen.  On Friday's they offer this three rib pork chop for only $12.95 and it was enough for me to eat off of for the next two days.  If you've never been to Perry's for pork chop Friday I highly recommend you make a reservation immediately!
I had a great weekend celebrating and having lots and lots of birthday fun.  In fact we pretty much spend the whole month of September celebrating someone and doing all sorts of fun things.  It's always one of our busiest months and certainly kicks off the busy Fall season

Madison was assigned her class mascot on Friday so Buffy and Buffy Jr. got to spend the weekend with us.

Granddaddy brought me flowers in one of Grandmother's old Ball jars.  They are beautiful and made the perfect center piece at Emma's party.

I love, love, LOVE Fall so mom and dad give me pumpkins every year to decorate.  I love how these turned out

Last month mom and I went to a mini version of canton that was going on in Wylie.  We came across this awesome old church pew for a super reasonable price and they even delivered it so this was my gift from my parents this year.  I love the way it looks on the porch.

Madison made this strawberry heart cake all by herself!

We celebrated Emma's birthday too and she loved it when everyone sang Happy Birthday to us!

After a super yummy dinner and cake Emma and I had fun opening our gifts

Ice Cream Cone Crazy Straws!

Of course she had to model her new outfits right away

Brittney's little sister Monica came too.  She and Madison put together one of Mimi's fun mosaics

Mimi and Pa gave the girls matching Halloween jammies

I know this is random but I had to zoom in on their cute little feet!

Sea World Part 2

Since it was too chilly to play in the pool at the Marriott on Sunday we headed back to Sea World to see shows and ride more rides.  It quickly warmed up and ended up being a beautiful day so there was no threat of rain.  There were a lot more people here today than on Friday but we were still able to do everything we wanted to do before heading back home.

Back to Atlantis!

I love everyone's expressions!

Shamu did not disappoint today and Madison got the big splash she was after.

Happy, Happy, Happy!

Getting soaked on Rio Loco, Madison had to change her clothes after this ride.  Chase definitely wins Father of the Year for today.  After a few rounds of Journey to Atlantis, splash zone of Shamu, and this super wet ride he was soaked from head to toe.  But it's all worth it to see his little girl smile!

We love Sea World!!!

Now for the long drive home...
