Top Cat and Marty the Moose

Madison brought home TOP CAT for the second time this year and was super excited to make her name poster.  She did a great job helping to think up words to describe herself using the letters in her name.  Way to go my little top cat!

On Friday Emma was sooo excited to bring home Marty The Moose, her class mascot.  She has been talking about bringing Marty home for weeks so she had the best weekend with him by her side.

January Birthdays

Hayden turned 6 this year and had his first real birthday with lots of friends at an actual venue!  He's getting adventurous in his old age, ha.  We bowled and played in the arcade at The Main Event.  Emma hit the jackpot on her last credit and won 500 tickets.  We need to take her to Vegas!

We also celebrated Gram and Chris's birthdays too.

Girl Scout Cookies!!!

This year I volunteered to be the cookie mom for our troop so I got to go the warehouse to pick up all our cases.  I was a day off and got a call saying I had missed our cookie pick up time so I had to rush up there to get them, cookie mom fail!!!  oooops.  I wasn't the only one though, so that made me feel a little better.  It actually worked out better to get them a day earlier so it was a good thing.

It may not look like much but I had 64 cases in my car!

Me and the girls had to bring all these in by ourselves since Chase was recovering from the tummy bug.  Then I had to quickly get them sorted so everyone could start picking up.

Madison LOVES selling Girl Scout cookies was eager to hit the streets and knock on doors.  She did great and was not nervous about asking people to buy cookies.  "Let's move," she said.  Sounds like her drill sergeant mom, lol!!!  Very proud of my cute little Girl Scout!

College Day/Pajama Day

Madison felt better after a couple days home with the tummy bug and was happy to be back at school for college day.  Gig Em!

Dad's Derby

Emma and Chase had the Dad's Derby at North Star and she loved making a car and racing it in the cafeteria.

While they were gone Madison and I played a mean game of Frozen Monopoly!  It's much easier to play board games without little sister who constantly bumps the board and messes up the pieces.

Tummy Bug

Back to school means back to germs!  The tummy bug reared it's ugly head and for a week our house was all out of sorts.  It hit Emma first.  After her Saturday bday parties we ran some errands and then went to dinner.  As soon as we sat down she looked at me and said, "Mommy I'm going to throw up," and then out it came....all over the table.  And it came and came, it was one of the worst moments ever!!!  I felt like we were in slow motion and the entire restaurant was looking at us so I picked up her menu and stood it up on the table in front of her to block her face.  I finally grabbed her and ran to the bathroom but she was a mess.  Luckily she had a big coat so I just stripped her shirt off and we left in that.  She was fine on the way home and even perked up a bit but it didn't last long.  She hurled for the next 12 hours and I almost took her to the ER for fluids but she finally stopped.  Then, however, the other started.  It was AWFUL and I felt so bad for her.  Once she was finally feeling better Madison started.  On Monday my mom picked Madison up from school, they went to get ice cream, and walked through the pet store before it was time for her church class.  She was fine and then as soon as they pulled up she said her tummy hurt.  It literally hits all of a sudden and there's nothing you can do.  They turned around to come home but didn't make it in time.  Luckily Mimi had a bag in her car and Madison did her best to contain it.  I truly don't wish this on anyone.  I later learned there were a couple other cases in Emma's class so I'm guessing that's where it came from.  Chase and Emma had the dad's derby where they get to build and race a box car on Thursday and then don't you know it hit Chase on Friday (during our Girl Scout meeting)!  He came home from work early and said his stomach was in knots so he went to bed.  A couple hours later 11 girls were running and screaming around our house and luckily it was super loud so we didn't hear what was going on in the next room.  Once everyone left I opened our bedroom door and Chase was on the floor in the fetal position wanting to die.  He said the girls were way stronger than he was and he didn't know how they made it through.  I have no idea how I dodged this bullet but I'm the only one who managed to stay well.  I either have a gut of steel or I built up an immunity from earlier in the week.  No funsville!

Back To School

And just like that the holidays were over and it was time to go back to school...boo!  Getting up early was not fun and Emma wouldn't take off her sleeping mask.

We had a mommy and me lunch date and ran into her our cutie patootie friend, Finley, at Chik-Fil-A and it just happened to be her birthday.  These 2 are so darn cute!

Our first weekend back to normal and that means back to birthday parties!  Emma had a double header and started at Bounce U and ended at Sweet N Sassy for Finley.  This was her first Sweet N Sassy party and she ate it up!

Happy 2016!!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!  This year we stayed home for New Years and had a couple families over to hang out.  Chase made delicious lasagna and the kids, all girls, played nicely together and never tired.  They went strong till about 1:30 AM!!!  It was a great way to ring in the New Year!

The girls put on a show for us...

And it's not a party unless someone gets a pie in the face!

Happy New Year!!!

New Year's Day we went to the Galleria and had to stop in the American Girl store to check out the new girl, Lea Clark.  She loves to go on adventures and is super cute!
