Halloween 2014

Happy Halloween from Anna and Elsa!  This year was surprisingly quiet but I guess since it's Friday night lots of people were at football games.  The girls still managed to fill up their Halloween buckets in no time and we had fun trick or treating with the neighbors.  Happy Halloween!

Yesterday Emma had her Halloween party at school.  I've recently become room mom for her class so I had to throw a craft together for the party.  After a giant cupcake and making monster magnets the kids got to trick or treat around the school.  I think she enjoyed her first class party, especially since I got to stay and help.

I picked up foam monsters at Hobby Lobby and glued little magnets on the back so they could go on the fridge.  Each child got to make 3 monsters with all sorts of foam stickers.

State Fair Fun

We couldn't let fair season pass us by with out a visit to Big Tex so last Sunday we made our annual trip to the state fair.  The kids had fun riding rides and playing games.  And I enjoyed a tasty cinnamon roll, my favorite fair food, even if I had to share with two little munchkins.

Emma insisted on riding the "superman" ride like the big kids so Chase rode with her.  I had serious doubts because this is a seriously big ride but as long as she rode with an adult she met the requirements.  Emma had a really worried look when it started but Chase tickled her and then she started laughing. This picture cracks me up because all you see are her little arms...

Chase somehow squeezed into the tiny cars of the dog coaster with Emma

Flyin' high!  This pirate ship is so fun but it goes ridiculously high.  They make us sit in the middle with Madison and I hold on to her for dear life with one arm.  She loves it though so this was my thrill of the day.

3 Year Stats

Last week we went to see Dr. Hieber for Emma's 3 year check and to get the girls flu shots.  We were hoping to try the mist this year since Madison has a hard time with shots but they were out so we had to settle for a quick stick.  They both did pretty good and it helped that the nurse brought in a fun new treasure chest to pick a prize from.  Here are Emma's stats at 3 years:

Weight:  33 lbs         72nd percentile
Height:  36.75 in     41st percentile

After Emma's Gymboree party is was time for round 2 and Chase's side of the family came over for pizza, cake, and presents.  We like to party hard!

I always have fun making the girls' birthday cakes

Emma's Frozen Party!!!

We have been counting down the days to Emma's FROZEN birthday party and last Sunday was the big day!  Emma had a blast running, jumping, and being crazy all around the "Kingdom of Arendelle" with all her sweet friends.  She requested Gymboree again just like last year and I'm glad because they do such a fantastic job.  I borrowed a life size cut out from a Murphy mom so Anna and Elsa got to hang out at the party too.  In fact, Anna and Elsa hung out in my living room from Thursday to Sunday so we got our fill.  You should have heard the girls when they walked in from school and saw them.  Madison screamed for a good 15 seconds!

I love the way Emma's invitation turned out.

Emma loved her life size balloon.  One side was Elsa and the other side was Anna.

Do you wanna build a snowman?

And then knock it down!

I didn't think about switching settings on my camera until about half way through the party so most of my pictures are blurry because the kids were constantly moving!

Best attempt at a group picture.  Missing about 6 friends...

Time for cupcakes.  Happy Birthday to you, Queen Elsa!

The parachute is always a crowd pleaser.  I love their expressions in all these pictures.  What fun!
