"Uh Oh"
Tonight we went to Gloria's to enjoy dinner on the patio, and $3 mojitos-yum! The waiter seated two people at the table behind us and when he brought their drinks the wind blew the ladies napkin on the ground and she said, "Uh Oh." Madison whipped around in her high chair, pointed at the lady, and said, "Uh Oh!" Since she really doesn't say much other than momma and dada it was pretty hilarious and we all laughed for a while. For the rest of the time we were there Madison kept turning around and pointing at them, she hasn't quite grasped the fact that it's rude to point and stare. I don't have any pictures from dinner but just envision her with beans all over her face. Madison loves the bean dip at Gloria's and she ate two bowls full.

1 Year Photo Shoot
Three weeks ago we had a photographer come to our house to take pictures of Madison and us as a family. I've been anxiously awaiting to see how they turned out and I love them! The CD of all the images arrived today and I've looked at them a million times. Here's some of our favorites, there are lots......

13 Months
Yesterday Madison hit 13 months. I can't believe she's already in the teens, ha! She'll be there soon enough. She hasn't done too many new things in the last month but here are a few I can think of:
-She really likes eating snacks out of her snack trap but it makes a mess because she sticks her whole fist in, grabs as many puffs as she can, and then loses half of them on the way to her mouth
-her new favorite word is Uh Oh!
-She knows where her mouth, nose, and tongue are and will point to them on demand followed by a big smile
-still has 5 teeth but she's about to get another top tooth
-has a personalized wooden bench and the letters come out so she loves to play and chew on them
-thinks it's funny to drop her food on the floor for Arnie, thank goodness he likes peas and carrots
-an excellent stander but won't take more than a couple steps so she is still a little ways from walking
-gets really mad and has a mad cry when we tell her no/prevent her from doing something or take things away, temper tantrums here we come
-her stranger danger has set in and she won't let just anyone hold her anymore, the separation anxiety has started
-eats lots of table food but if we are in a hurry I still give her baby food because it's quick and easy
-is a total chatterbox! I soooo wish I knew what she is saying because she so serious about it. It's hilarious and I need to attempt to record her.
-she grinds her top and bottom teeth and the noise drives me crazy! It's like nails on a chalkboard and I don't know how to prevent her from doing it
Here's a picture of my child from today. No she's not wearing any pants or shoes and yes that's a sock in her mouth. We went to the park with Megan and Parker and when she was sitting on the sidewalk I noticed a puddle forming underneath her and in the words of my daughter said, "Uh Oh!" She peed everywhere and of course I didn't have a change of clothes with me so she had to go pantless until they dried. Ever since Pampers changed to their new thinner diapers we have had some leaking problems but mainly just at night. Maybe we should try the 4's.
Just chillin

WHOOP!
This weekend Madison took her first trip to Aggieland! Not only was this her first time to College Station, it was also her first night away from home and she was a super trooper the entire weekend. We stayed with the Kleemans and had such a great time. On Friday we ate at Rudy's where Madison immediately poked a hole through her styrofoam cup and spilled water everywhere but other than that we enjoyed our delicious BBQ. Saturday morning we headed up to campus to show Madison around our old stomping ground and of course take a bunch of pictures! We even went to the Dixie Chicken for burgers before Chase and Justin went to the Maroon and White game. Since it's a bar they didn't have high chairs so she went back and forth between our laps and her stroller. Saturday night Chase was craving Wings N More so we hit that up for dinner and what's a trip to Wings N More without an order of chili cheese fries? It was great to be back in College Station and WOW has it changed since we've been there. I didn't even recognize parts of it because they have built so many new establishments and it really looks great. It's a thriving metropolis now and it sure would have been nice to have half the stuff they have now when we were there!
Here's some pictures of our fun weekend, can't wait to go back.
Playing Peek-A-Boo with Kleeman before bed on Friday

This new giant Aggie ring is now outside the Alumni center

Class of 2032

Welcome to Aggieland. I forgot the zoom lens in the car so this was the best we could do

The MSC is currently closed for construction until the summer of 2012 so they've moved the bookstore onto the basketball courts in G. Rolie. We stopped for a diaper change on this table as I didn't think they would have changing stations in a college bathroom. =)

Out front of Kyle Field

Bevo with the horns sawed off is a new addition

Enjoying beers at The Chicken

We went to visit Ward and her cute boys on Saturday afternoon. Ryan had his 4th birthday party earlier in the day so he and Jackson were soaked from playing with his new water guns.

Talkin football with the boys

I have to say that Madison loved both Katherine and Justin. Her stranger danger has been on high alert lately but she had no problems this weekend and was all smiles

Making friends with Ruby, their 55 lb bull dog. Thankfully Madison is used to dogs so she just laughed whenever Ruby licked her and kept trying to pet her

What a perfect spot! Madison discovered she could crawl under the coffee table and play

Modeling her new Aggie attire. We are ready for football season!
