Pouty Face

Madison makes this pouty face before she gets really mad and it's so sad but so cute at the same time. It took a while to capture but we finally got it. And then two seconds later all smiles, she's so funny and can alternate faces so quickly. It's usually the sad face, followed by a smile, followed by a really mad face.

More Swimming

We had so much fun swimming at Gram and Grandad's yesterday that we went back again today with Rebecca and Lula. The girls really enjoyed the water, it felt great!

A Week of Firsts

Madison had a big week last week! We went to meet our new friend Kendall, we went to visit daddy at work and meet all his work friends, we celebrated cousin Lula's first birthday, we had our first Father's Day, and we went swimming for the first time! Whew, I'm tired just writing all of that.
For Father's Day we made Chase a stepping stone with Madison's little footprints in it and it turned out pretty cute. I think Madison enjoyed the pool, she sure looked cute in her pink polka dot suit from Gram. We went out at about 5:30 so the water was nice and warm and we had lots of shade in the shallow end.

Cute Pics

It's been a few weeks since I've had time to update our blog but we really haven't done anything too significant besides snap lots of cute pictures of miss Madison! She will be 12 weeks old on Friday and we can't believe how much she is growing. She smiles all the time and is getting really close to rolling over. We just graduated from newborn diapers to 1's last week and we are still in our newborn clothes but hopefully we will be in 0-3 months soon because we have lots of cute outfits for summer! I tried to put her in her bumbo chair but she is still too small, it swallows her up. She can't hold her head up just yet but her neck is definitely getting stronger. Chase calls her his little hula dancer because she loves to stand up on our thighs and bobble all around like a hula dancer on a dashboard. We have not put her in her big girl crib yet but my goal is to start putting her in there during her naps so we can both get used to it. Here's some of our latest pictures.

In the first picture she is so sleepy! Daddy propped her up on his pillow and captured a big yawn. As you can see in the corner I'm no longer sleeping on the couch, woohoo! Her acid reflux is pretty much gone so I don't have to prop her up after she eats anymore. She is doing much better on sleeping these days and last night was a record. She went 7 hours in between her late night and early morning feeding so keep your fingers crossed she keeps this up.

More Smiles

Chase had to go out of town for a wedding this weekend so Mimi and Grandpa came over to spend the night and hang out with Madison. They really enjoyed spending some quality time with their granddaughter and I loved having the extra help! Madison is all smiles these days and we are loving it! It doesn't take much to get a smile and it's now much easier to catch it on camera. She is also starting to "talk" so we have lots of conversations every day. If anyone recorded us they would think we were nuts but you know you all do it! Anything for a sweet smile.
